Jesus Is All The World To Me

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss
for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my LORD:
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,
and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness,
which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ,
the righteousness which is of God by faith.
- Philippians 3:3-9 -

Jesus is all the world to me, my life, my joy, my all;
He is my strength from day to day, without Him I would fall.
When I am sad, to Him I go, no other one can cheer me so;
When I am sad, He makes me glad, He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, my Friend in trials sore;
I go to Him for blessings, and He gives them over and o’er.
He sends the sunshine and the rain, He sends the harvest’s golden grain;
Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain, He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, and true to Him I’ll be;
O how could I this Friend deny, when He’s so true to me?
Following Him I know I’m right, He watches o’er me day and night;
Following Him by day and night, He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, I want no better Friend;
I trust Him now, I’ll trust Him when life’s fleeting days shall end.
Beautiful life with such a Friend, beautiful life that has no end;
Eternal life, eternal joy, He’s my Friend.
- Will L. Thompson -

For to me to live is Christ,
and to die is gain.
- Philippians 1:21 -

Reflect on this statement--
There are three essentials for a happy life:
A faith to live by.

A self to live with.

A purpose to live for.
- Kenneth W. Osbeck -

Have a blessed Lord's Day, friends.

OH, sweet friend! I am sitting here bawling!!! THIS song is one of my dear mother's absolute favorite songs! I have the lyrics to this song written on a piece of paper by my precious mother's hand. I cherish that piece of paper more than I would cherish gold. I can still hear her sweet voice singing it to me. When I saw it on your blog, I determined to sing it right now to our own dear boy. He just loved it, too...he said he has heard it, perhaps her heard Mom sing it sometime before she died. This post meant so much to me, and I am so grateful you shared it, along with the beautiful photos. It is always such a blessing and dear joy to visit with you here. Sending much love to you this Lord's Day!

Ah, sweet Stephanie, I am with Cheryl above me at the touching, near-crying emotions that filled my heart as I read (and sang along) these beautiful words! My precious dad who is now with Jesus sang in church, and this is one I remember well. He always sang with a heart filled with love for His Lord Jesus, and everyone knew it. I praise God for a godly father who taught us young about Jesus, and may I remember each day more and more that Jesus is all the world to me...over all else and everyone else. Thank you, precious Stephanie, for this beautiful Sabbath day post with such beautiful flowers and teacups! Warm hugs and love! xoxo

These photos are just gorgeous. The words remind me of the hymn:
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
Have a blessed week dear Stephanie :)

Oh Stephanie, wherever do you find your tea cups? They are always so unique and stunning. I'm not sure why, but blue tea cups are the prettiest to me. This one goes well with your yellow roses.

I hope you are having beautiful March days, dear one.

love, ~Sheri
