Saved, Saved!

For whosoever shall call
upon the name of the LORD
shall be saved.
- Romans 10:13 -

I’ve found a Friend, who is all to me,
His love is ever true;
I love to tell how He lifted me
And what His grace can do for you.

He saves me from every sin and harm,
Secures my soul each day;
I’m leaning strong on His mighty arm;
I know He’ll guide me all the way.

When poor and needy and all alone,
In love He said to me,
“Come unto Me and I’ll lead you home,
To live with Me eternally.”

Saved by His power divine,
Saved to new life sublime!
Life now is sweet and my joy is complete,
For I’m saved, saved, saved!
- Jack P. Scholfield -

Indulgence says, "Drink you way out."
Philosophy says, "Think your way out."
Science says, "Invent your way out."
Industry says, "Work your way out."
Communism says, "Strike your way out."
Militarism says, "Fight your way out."

Christ says, "I AM THE WAY OUT!"
- Unknown -

Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way,
the truth,
and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- John 14:6 -

Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace,
we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
- Titus 3:5-7 -

Neither by the blood of goats and calves,
but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption for us.
- Hebrews 9:12 -

Herein is love,
not that we loved God, but that he loved us,
and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- 1 John 4:10 -

We must emphasize that it is Christ and Christ alone who saves--
not the methods, procedures, or manipulations
often used for those seeking salvation.
No two experiences of salvation are necessarily alike.
Coming to Jesus to experience His love and forgiveness
is a very personal matter--not a prescribed procedure.

Love and hugs to you on this blessed Lord's Day.

Oh, precious Stephanie, what a beautiful old hymn that I remember well singing growing up in our little church. As a congregation, we all sang out with joy...such precious and dear words of True Hope and Salvation through Christ alone. Amen to that. I praise God that He sent His Beloved and Only Son to die and that "God validated the sacrifice of Jesus by raising Him from the dead." Our pastor said that today, and I had never heard it quite said like that. Amen that it is Christ and Christ alone Who saves by God's gracious mercy....totally unmerited by us and secured forevermore. Thank you for sharing the beautiful hymns you share on Sundays (the Sabbath), and I love the precious Scripture verses to reinforce the message. Much love, dear friend! You are a joy to me...and the many who read your blog. Love and hugs! xoxo

We all have a habit of saying everything is awesome, but knowing the Lord's sacrifice to say us is the most awesomeness there is.
Beautiful images and verse.
Have a great week!

This brought to mind learning many of those verses in Vacation Bible School and singing that song in church - Saved! Saved! Saved! Thank you for the beautiful words and photos. Have a blessed week.

Thank you for this wonderful post, dear friend. It is something that cannot be emphasized enough in our modern day world where there seems to be a "systematic" way of doing everything. I'm afraid we have too often forgotten that salvation is through the person of Jesus alone. I appreciate the hymn you have shared as well as the Scriptures that leave no doubt in our minds that Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation.

Just what I needed to hear tonight, dear Stephanie. Your pictures are so soft and pretty with all the Pink and the book of Grace. And I love that ballet slipper. Nel has ballet shoes on her post today as well with some very special news. Your shoe reminded me of that. : )
