October's Party

The days are getting shorter and the nights are cooling down.
Soon the Autumn days will be over
so lets make the most of each beautiful moment.
Listen as the leaves crunch beneath our steps
and smell the sweet scent of the mountain air.
Join me, friends,
on this lovely October day for a delightful tea party outside. . .

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners;
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

It's always a joy and pleasure
to have you join me for tea :)
Thank you for visiting
and may you be richly blessed
today, tomorrow, and always!
Love and hugs to you.

A beautiful Autumn tea in deed!
I could feel the wind and smell the fragrances in the air as I read that soothing poem, just lovely.
I've been reading "The Essential Tozer Collection" the pursuit of God, the purpose of God and the crucified life, all compiled in one book and I'm LOVING it!!
I've always enjoyed Tozer and having all three of these together is nice.

Have a most glorious day ♡

Oh the trees on the mountains around you must be gorgeous now! We don't have much color yet but hoping soon. It surely has been cold enough overnight. Thank you for the wonderful tea party and for the sweet poem.

What a wonderful tea party, Stephanie, with apples and tea and roses and a special book to read. Autumn is such a glorious season, isn't it? Your leaves look similar to ours here. Your pictures are truly unique and pretty, and I love that tea cup. Enjoy these last days of October, my friend.

Enjoyed my tea party with you - but I hope it's okay that I had mine inside. It's cold, rainy, windy and it's been trying to s-n-o-w here and I plan to hibernate as much as I can for the next five or six months.
